PLANT + MAINTENANCE Menu: Micronet Plant Maintenance

The Micronet Plant Maintenance system (MPM) is an optional module that integrates with the Micronet Job Costing system. MPM has been developed to be a flexible and comprehensive solution that will satisfy a range of industries including service based contractors, motor repair workshops, engineering workshops, instrumentation/calibration service contractors, automotive/marine fleet service companies, office equipment specialists and communication equipment contractors.

MPM is designed to handle the specific requirements for contractors that need to:

• Provide ad-hoc service to a range of predefined plant items for their customers
• Provide planned maintenance to customers’ plant and equipment
• Provide service reports back to their customers for each plant item detailing labour/materials provided, number of jobs provided, downtime reporting, etc.
• Optionally track the history of error logs and resultant measurement results
• Manage negotiated material or labour rates for individual plant items on contract
• Track plant warranty details
• Maintain the invoicing for a range of negotiated service contracts with your customers for both periodic contracts and pre-purchased labour.

MPM has the facility to introduce 'mobile computing' for service technicians via modern 'industrial strength' PDA pocket PC devices.

Technical Tip The Plant Maintenance menu options are only enabled if the registration code for Planned Maintenance is turned on in your company settings (refer to "Edit Company - Registration").
